Letter from the Superintendent - 11/5/2020
November 5, 2020

Parents and Community,

The staff and students at Upper Scioto Valley Schools are to be commended for the fine job they have done with implementing the new guidelines and procedures set fourth for the 2020/2021 school year.  For the most part everything has went very smooth.

However, as time goes on students have started to get a little lax in the wearing of masks and wearing them appropriately.  This has been especially a problem in grades 7-12.   No matter our beliefs on the mask issue, it is still a requirement of the school.  Students are always expected to wear masks.  With exceptions given at lunch and when a specific mask break has been given by a staff member.  Please encourage your students to continue to follow the rules and guidelines presented.  USV does not want to be forced into remote learning due to a COVID outbreak within the school.

Sincerely,

Craig M. Hurley
