Upper Scioto Valley School honored dozens of local veterans for their decades of service during the recent Veterans Day Breakfast and Assembly.
The morning began with USV upperclassmen and members of the Honor Society serving a hearty breakfast, which was donated by the
Henderson’s 235 Grill. After the meal, veterans in attendance gathered for several group pictures in the Alumni Fieldhouse. Finally, the entire student body joined them in the fieldhouse for a special ceremony and assembly.
The morning's keynote speaker was retired Air Force Lt. Colonel Catherine Seibert. Colonel Seibert was in the Air Force for 24 years as an Aeromedical Evacuation Flight Nurse. She retired from the Air Force in 2013 after multiple deployments and assignments. The morning ended with students and staff coming foward to thank the veterans and shake hands.
